The Seal of Biliteracy is an award granted by a school, district, organization or state in the United States of America, “In recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation”. It encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.

Research has found that babies raised in bilingual households show better self-control,8 a key indicator of school success. Bilingual and biliterate individuals have the opportunity to participate in the global community in more ways, get information from more places, and learn more about people from other cultures.
